Our December 18 workout, So You Want to Be a Messiah Soloist, focused on coloratura passages from iconic Messiah solos (G.F. Handel) for all voice categories—we all gave them all a try! (in our own octaves, of course). This workout is now available On Demand through January 18, 2024.

These 45-minute vocal workouts—delivered live, via Zoom—will guide experienced singers of all genders through a challenging routine of advanced vocal agility skills. Vocal exercises will include figures and patterns common in both Baroque and bel canto coloratura repertoire:

• A plethora of scales (including chromatic and minor)

• Patterns and divisions (including triplets, and groupings of four, six, and eight notes)

• Staccati

• Arpeggi

• Trills

Remember, practice makes permanent. To continue advancing your vocal agility skills, we invite you to repeat this workout often. Every Coloratura workout is different, while focusing on the same set of fundamental skills.
