Vocal Health at Every Age: A Singer’s Guide
As a singer, your body is your instrument. As your body changes from day to day, and from year to year, you may experience occasional or persistent challenges or changes to your singing. How can you take the best possible care of your physical instrument, to ensure that your singing voice remains healthy and vibrant throughout your entire lifespan?
Vocal Health at Every Age: A Singer’s Guide is a 2-hour seminar and accompanying vocal exercise routine—delivered live, via Zoom—all about how to preserve and enhance your vocal health, whether you are a singer in your 20s or 80s, or any age in between!
You will learn about:
The Ten Commandments of Vocal Health
Vocalizing successfully through menopause and andropause, and the changes that occur in the larynx as we age
The six types of vocal exercise that are crucial for preventing (or reversing) so-called “age-related” voice changes
Whether a slower, wider vibrato is inevitable for older singers
Eight common non-technical factors that can affect the vocal cords
The seminar includes:
90 minutes of interactive presentation by Dr. Julia Nielsen
30 minutes of singing vocal exercises (participants remain muted)
Ample time for Q&A
A seminar booklet, delivered electronically, including handouts and the notated vocal exercises
Unlimited access to a video recording of the seminar for 60 days after the live event (through May 23, 2024 PT)
